Fleetdrive have joined up with the Department for Transport and the Energy Saving Trust to produce a series of animations designed to help all motorists, but particularly small fleet operators, understand how new technology for drive trains operate.
The animation, ‘Which car is most efficient for you?’ features a voiceover by TV presenter Robert Llewellyn and explains the differences between petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, extended-range electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles. It offers a comprehensive guide to drivers and fleet decision-makers about which technology is likely to be most efficient for their driving needs.
There are short animations about each of the individual technologies, lasting around two minutes each, as well as a longer 10 minute version for people who are keen to learn more about low and ultra-low emission vehicles. All of which can be viewed in our website video gallery at www.fleetdrive-electric.com
Fleetdrive are leaders in the provision of EV and plug-in cars, bringing 20 years of experience in helping to deliver effective solutions for businesses with up to 80 cars and vans.
Michael Potter, Managing Director at Fleetdrive Electric, says, “We are very pleased to be working in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust, sharing our knowledge and expertise to educate and enhance the UK’s adoption of electric vehicle technology.
“Increasingly there are more varied options for power trains for vehicles. This video hopefully goes some way to demystify how these work in practice for businesses and individuals alike.
“We also hope that it will demonstrate where full EVs can fit in with their zero tailpipe emissions, especially particulates, and low running costs. The fact is that EVs are becoming increasingly more practical and affordable for a range of business applications. It’s not just about saving the environment, but in the long-term, saving money on your fleet running costs.”
