“Our attitudes across the business have changed as a result of providing EVs to our teams.  The switch has created more awareness of changes we can and have made across the company to be more environmentally aware.

We see electric vehicles as an essential part of our future. We want to be ahead of the curve in decision making and also find sustainable business solutions.  Many clients want to know what sustainable changes we are making to the way we run our business and EVs are a hugely important and successful decision for us.”

Haringey Council

We do our best to help our fleet clients (and all out customers) in any way we can, so at the start of UK lockdown vehicle deliveries had ground to a halt, so we took matters into our own hands with volunteers from our own teams personally delivering a number of electric vans to Haringey Council’s food distribution hubs in London.

These EVs were provided on short-term FlexiHire contracts, and were needed urgently for use in food distribution hubs so that essentials could be delivered to those in need. On day one the FlexiHire electric vehicles provided had helped deliver food to 300 people. The following day that total had reached 700.

“Our staff were initially hesitant to transfer to EVs due to uncertainty and lack of information about them.  DriveElectric helped us introduce EVs to the company and to every employee who would be using one, working to create an understanding of EVs.  Once we were up and running with DriveElectric, all fears of EVs went away.  All our engineers who are in EVs are now committed to using electric and have easily adapted to them. I doubt they would return to fuel – they are so happy with their charge cards and apps, some have said it’s like belonging to an exclusive in-the-know club.”
